Abe Rábade _ piano and composition,Nelson Cascais _ double bass and Bruno Pedroso _ drums are the current members of a jazz band which has been performing since 1996.
This group received in 2000 the 2nd Prize in the International Contest of Jazz Bands of Getxo (Euskadi). Babel de Sons (2001), live at the Getxo Jazz Festival was the first CD release of the trio (paco Charlín, bass and Ramón Ángel Rey, drums).
Abe Rábade received in 2001 the Tete Montoliú Award –Revelation Pianist in Spain–, by SGAE.
On December 2002 the group releases Simetrías, their second record (Paco Charlín, bass and Ramón Ángel Rey, drums). The latest work by Abe Rábade Trío is Playing on Light for Karonte Records (Paco Charlín, bass and Bruno Pedroso, drums).

The musical repertoire of the band is a selection of original compositions in many jazz styles.
